Gleann_sd15
Gleann sd15 is a custom stable diffusion LoRA used to generate images of Irish Landscapes. The LoRA is a dataset of images of Irish landscapes as seen through Google Earth. Gleann sd15 generates endless versions of Ireland through digital mapping services. The Down Survey in Ireland was one of the first occurences in history of a detailed land survey. The land was measured and valued to see which land was considered profitable for the British empire. Mapping thus became a tool for imperialists to assess land in which they had conquered, changing our relationship with land forever.
Now, with new mapping technologies, projects like Google Earth and Google Street View are once again changing our relationship to land. Land is now becoming data. Topographical data is now available on the internet, and is beginning to shift our relationship to earth and to nature.
